Santhanam's acting are from television and popular TV show Lollu Sabha was his official entry to Kollywood. Talking about his experience in TV, he says, "That TV show was the tuning point in my career. It gave me a new lease of life. I enjoyed every bit of that phase of my career. My hardcore fans are actually the Lollu Sabha audience. They have been following me since then."
About the TV show, he says, "I have been doing this kind of funny concepts since my school and college days. Even now, if I think of a scene, I from the Lollu Sabha angle. I am used to that concept."
